About me
Teryn Bird is a trial attorney and Legal Program Director at the Interior Alaska Center for Non-Violent Living in Fairbanks, Alaska. She was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from the University of Utah and her Juris Doctor from the S.J. Quinney College of Law.
Ms. Bird has over a decade of experience providing legal services and program leadership focused on survivor-centered advocacy. Her practice includes civil litigation, family law, domestic violence protective orders, consumer and merchant debt collection, bankruptcy, contract law, intellectual property, Title IX and discrimination and harassment response, and select immigration matters affecting survivors of violence.
Ms. Bird oversees legal services and training initiatives that support survivors of domestic and sexual violence, including the development and implementation of curricula designed to expand access to justice through community-based and non-lawyer advocacy models. She regularly trains advocates and professionals on trauma-informed legal representation, ethical considerations, and systems navigation for survivors.
Ms. Bird is licensed to practice law in Alaska and Utah.
