About me
Tanisha Pierrette is a Senior Research Analyst at the Fines and Fees Justice Center (FFJC), where she specializes in analyzing trends to help drive meaningful reform in the criminal legal system. She supports advocates and policymakers by providing tailored research on court-imposed fines and fees, warrants, and debt-based driver’s license suspension.
Before joining FFJC, Tanisha was a Program Coordinator at a nonprofit that places AmeriCorps members in low-income communities to facilitate small-group instruction for students. Prior to that, she was part of NLADA’s first cohort of AmeriCorps VISTAs serving in public defenders’ offices to help modernize their evidence-based practices and data management. Tanisha served at the Orleans Public Defenders Office within the Client Services Division.
