About me
Matt Keenan received his undergraduate in Liberal Arts from the University of Kansas, graduating with Distinction in 1981. At graduation, he was honored with the Agnes Wright Strickland award, given to two graduates with demonstrated leadership in matters of University concern.
KU law school, 1984, Order of the Coif, Articles Editor, KU Law Review. Law clerk, Hon. James K. Logan, United States Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit. Shook, Hardy & Bacon in KCMO where he practiced for 37 years, serving as chair of the firm’s pro bono committee. In August, 2019, the U.S. Senate confirmed him to the Board of Legal Services Corporation, the umbrella organization to legal aid organizations around the country, including KLS.
In December, 2022, Matt resigned the LSC board and his firm to become the KLS Executive Director where he has served for four years.
