About me
Lisa Martin is a Professor of Law and the Director of the Domestic Violence Clinic at the University of South Carolina Joseph F. Rice School of Law and a member of the South Carolina Access to Justice Commission. Throughout her career, Professor Martin’s research and practice has focused on access to justice, civil legal interventions for gender-based violence, and the legal rights of children and adolescents. Her scholarship has appeared in the New York University Law Review, the Georgetown Law Journal, and the Harvard Civil Rights-Civil Liberties Law Review, among other publications. Before joining the academy, she served as a staff attorney and co-director of the interdisciplinary Teen Dating Violence Program at Women Empowered Against Violence (WEAVE) in Washington, D.C.
