About me
Kiersten Bartolotta is a passionate attorney and program creator dedicated to expanding meaningful legal support for individuals and families on Long Island. She currently serves as the Suffolk County Pro Bono Coordinator at Legal Services of Long Island, where she designs and leads collaborative, client-centered legal service models that increase access, strengthen outcomes, and empower both clients and volunteer attorneys.
Kiersten’s work centers on reimagining how legal services are delivered by shifting from older models of pro bono programs to scalable sustainable and innovative models. Her programs emphasize client empowerment, attorney engagement, and measurable impact, creating pathways that serve more people and encourage more attorneys to participate as volunteers.
In addition to her legal work, Kiersten is an educator and speaker on access to justice issues. She has taught at colleges, law schools and professional workshops on poverty law, criminal justice, and civil law topics with a goal of introducing the concept of public service work as an excellent and much needed career choice to a new generation of lawyers. She also works closely with bar associations, courts, law schools, and community partners to develop collaborative programs that strengthen and expand access to justice across communities. Through this work, she hopes to help build more accessible legal programs that remove real barriers and create a more just legal system for everyone.
