About me
Jared Smith is MIE’s Director of Programs, a role in which he works to develop innovative remote and in-person trainings, engaging resources, and effective spaces for collaboration. In this role, he also supports private and legislative fundraising efforts, including by enhancing access to the ABA Standing Committee on Legal Aid and Indigent Defense’s online ABArray Legal Aid Funding Data Report. In the past, Jared has served as the Foundation and Development Manager for the North Carolina Equal Access to Justice Commission and Pro Bono Resource Center, Communications Coordinator for the National Association of Pro Bono Professionals, and adjunct professor at the University of North Carolina School of Law.
