Emily Deines has over 21 years of dedicated experience at the Massachusetts Trial Court, primarily within the Probate and Family Court, where she has developed expertise in court operations, technology, and user-centered service delivery. In April 2025, she assumed the role of Statewide Manager of Justice Initiatives in the Office of Access to Justice and Court User Experience, where she leads efforts to promote equity of access to the courts and enhance user experience through streamlining form creation processes and improving usability of forms and related materials.
Emily’s work supports the Massachusetts Trial Court’s efforts to design and maintain inclusive digital experiences and includes a focus on WCAG compliance, accessible UX design, training court personnel, and integrating accessibility into form development workflows. She is deeply committed to advancing access to justice through innovation and ensuring that every court user, regardless of background or circumstance, can engage meaningfully with the court system.
