About me
Elizabeth Chambliss is the Henry Harman Edens Professor of Law and Director of the NMRS Center on Professionalism at the University of South Carolina Rice School of Law. She received her JD and PhD in sociology from the University of Wisconsin. Her scholarship focuses on civil access to justice and the regulation of the legal profession. Her most recent research is a mixed methods study of private practice in rural South Carolina. Professor Chambliss is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, a member of the American Law Institute, and a special advisor to the SC Access to Justice Commission.
