About me
Courtney S. Jones is the Managing Attorney of Pro Bono Development at Community Legal Services (CLS), where she leads strategic initiatives to recruit, train, and support volunteer attorneys and law students in delivering high-quality legal services to underserved communities. In this role, she also recruits and organizes sealing and expungement clinics, estate planning clinics, and community legal workshops, working collaboratively with partners to expand access to justice across underserved populations. Courtney is deeply involved in developing and coordinating legal panels, career fairs, and professional programming aimed at supporting law students and early-career attorneys.
Prior to joining CLS, Courtney practiced personal injury and insurance defense, handling automobile and glass claims, and developed extensive experience in dispute resolution and negotiations across the automobile, insurance, and electronics industries. She also served at Florida A&M University College of Law in Career Planning and Professional Development, where she advised and mentored law students on career strategy, professional identity development, and workforce readiness.
Courtney earned her Juris Doctor from Barry University School of Law in 2015, where she was an active leader in the Black Law Students Association (BLSA). She holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice from Troy University and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Kennesaw State University. Courtney was admitted to The Florida Bar in September 2017.
In addition to her pro bono and professional development work, Courtney enjoys teaching bar preparation courses. She is an active member of several voluntary bar associations, including the Paul C. Perkins Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
Courtney is deeply passionate about mentoring law students and young lawyers, fostering professional excellence, and advancing equitable access to justice. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and exploring new restaurants with her tribe as an avid foodie .
