About me
Antonia More is the Director and Managing Attorney of Pro Bono Legal Services at the Justice & Diversity Center of the Bar Association of San Francisco (JDC). Under her direction, JDC provides free legal services to low-income litigants in San Francisco through its various initiatives, including the Family Law Project, Civil Appellate Self-Help Workshop for the First District, Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, Federal Pro Bono Project, Legal Advice and Referral Clinics, and other programs.
Antonia started her legal career as a civil litigator and became a partner specializing in trade secret law. She also worked as a discovery referee for the Alameda County Superior Court (ACSC). Her love affair with pro bono began as a volunteer for ACSCS’s Family Law Day of Court, which led to her role as a bilingual (Spanish/English) attorney—first at the ACSC Self-Help Center, and later at the San Francisco Superior Court for JDC’s Family Law Assisted Self Help program. Before assuming her current role, Antonia served as the Supervising Attorney for JDC’s Family Law Project.
Antonia’s passion is to develop and implement programs that expand access to justice. To that end, Antonia enjoys personally directing JDC’s walk-in, no-barrier Legal Advice and Referral Clinics and cherishes the opportunity to work with clients when time permits.
Antonia is the co-chair of San Franciso’s Domestic Violence Consortium and a member of SF’s Family Violence Council. She also serves on the State Bar of California’s Access to Justice Committee. In collaboration with the Practicing Law Institute, Antonia has co-chaired the California Guardianship and Family Law Basics courses for the past several years and has presented at legal aid conferences on various topics.
Antonia earned her J.D. from UC Law SF and holds a B.A. in Russian. She speaks Russian and Spanish and enjoys foreign- language podcasts and films.
