About me
Derek is honored to serve as the Vice Chair of the Hawaii Access to Justice Commission. He is a Past-President of the Hawaii State Bar Association, Board of Directors; is a former board member and Past-President of Volunteer Legal Services of Hawaii; is active in Legal Aid Society of Hawaii's - Partnership In Pro Bono Program; is a mentor in the Hawaii Appellate Pro Bono Program; and a Lecturer-In-Law teaching Pretrial Litigation at the William S. Richardson School of Law. Derek is also a longstanding member of the HSBA - Delivery of Legal Services to the Public Committee and a regular attendee at the EJC.
