About me
Amber Christ, she/her, leads Justice in Aging’s team of health attorneys and policy advocates in developing and implementing projects and initiatives that improve equitable access to health care and long-term services and supports for low-income older adults across the country. Amber is a nationwide expert on health equity for older adults, policies impacting people who are dually eligible for Medicare and Medicaid, and Medicaid long-term services and supports. For six years, Amber worked at Legal Aid of Western Missouri helping low-income adults with issues accessing Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. She joined Justice in Aging in 2013 to identify and advocate for systemic solutions to the problems she saw her clients facing every day. Amber serves on the boards of the Family Caregiver Alliance and Legal Aid of Western Missouri. She is a 2006 graduate of Washington University School of Law in St. Louis and holds bar admissions in California, Illinois, and Missouri. Amber currently lives in Kansas City, Missouri with her husband and daughter and enjoys running, live music, VW buses, and taking photos.
